Emmy-winning Cheers actress Kirstie Alley passes away at age 71 from cancer


American actress Kirstie Louise Alley lived from January 12, 1951, until December 5, 2022.

Her breakthrough role was Rebecca Howe in the NBC sitcom Cheers (1987–1993), for which she won a Golden Globe in 1991 and an Emmy Award. She appeared in the sitcom Veronica's Closet from 1997 to 2000, garnering more Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.
