Donald Trump is a famous American businessman, TV personality, and politician. He was born in New York City in 1946 and went to school in Jamaica Estates. He then went to college at the University of Pennsylvania and studied economics.
Trump started his career in real estate and later expanded into other businesses like hotels, casinos, and entertainment. He became well-known for his strong personality, use of the media, and extravagant lifestyle. He also hosted two TV shows called “The Apprentice” and “Celebrity Apprentice” from 2004 to 2015.
In 2015, Trump announced he was running for President of the United States and won the Republican nomination. He went on to win the 2016 presidential election against Hillary Clinton and became the 45th President of the United States. While he was President, Trump tried to reduce regulations, improve the economy, and control immigration.
However, Trump’s presidency was also controversial and caused division. He often said things that upset people and used social media a lot. He was impeached twice by the House of Representatives but not found guilty by the Senate. Trump left office on January 20, 2021, and was replaced by President Joe Biden.
Donald John Trump was born on June 14, 1946, at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, New York City. His parents were Fred Trump, a real estate developer of German descent, and Mary Anne MacLeod Trump, an immigrant from Scotland. Trump grew up with four siblings in Jamaica Estates and attended the private Kew-Forest School until seventh grade. He then went to the New York Military Academy, a private boarding school, and later enrolled at Fordham University before transferring to the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Trump graduated in 1968 with a degree in economics.
During his college years, Trump received four student draft deferments during the Vietnam War era. He was deemed fit for military service in 1966 but was later classified as eligible to serve in 1968. However, he received a medical deferment due to bone spurs, which permanently disqualified him from service in 1972. In 2015, his lawyer Michael Cohen threatened legal action against Trump’s colleges, high school, and the College Board if they released Trump’s academic records.
